NAME: Mel
CONTACT: [plurk.com profile] maiiau; PM
ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: EST/EDT, tending toward evening and night tagging. I try to tag quickly, but I don't mind if you need some time! Even if I tag you back right away, don't feel obligated to match my pace.
BRACKETS/PROSE: either, though I default to brackets
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Warn for eye gore and animal abuse, avoid eyeball damage, especially piercing damage. Eye socket damage is fine--it's specifically damage to the eyeballs that bothers me.

IN CHARACTER

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Hugs and similar kinds of affection are fine! If you're going to try to kiss her out of nowhere or something, you're free to try, but she's not going to be happy about it.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Monika has no combat abilities beyond what she's picking up in-game. You're free to go for it, but considering this is a perma-death game, don't go for the throat without warning.

Monika is a technological ghost tied to the Nintendo Switch Lite she attached herself to on arrival. She can be damaged in all the standard ways, but damage to the console will also damage her, and destroying the console will kill her as surely as lopping off her head would. Thus, while I'm fine with generally damaging the console, don't try to break it without talking to me first.
RELATIONSHIPS: It's fine to try to get into one with her; Monika is definitely a romantic, and she'd appreciate the interest. She has no gender preference. However, a relationship with Monika has the potential to get... Intense, and I'm not talking about the fun ways. She can be obsessive and has had issues with extreme loneliness; OOCly I don't think she's in a good place for a relationship right now, though I have no objections to playing out a trainwreck! Just definitely look at her content and trigger warnings, because they apply very heavily here.
PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Monika mostly comes across as a normal girl. However, there's some sense of having seen beyond what she should--as if she looked into the code of the world once, although that sense is no longer present inside of her. If you look more specifically, you may find her awareness of being a video game character and her existential horror over it. Monika has no psychic abilities and no ability to guard against psychic intrusion, but she's not going to be happy if she finds out you're poking around in her head. Monika's psychic signature, such as it would be, will actually come from the Nintendo Switch Lite she carries with her, rather than from her body. She's a technoghost. She doesn't want people to know this.
MAGICAL INFORMATION: Monika has no magical abilities. If your character is capable of locating a character magically, they may find that Monika's location actually places her inside her Nintendo Switch Lite, because she's a technoghost attached to the console she found upon arrival. She doesn't want people knowing this.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Monika is actually something of a technological ghost tied to the Nintendo Switch Lite she was drawn to on arrival. Her body is perfectly solid, capable of interacting with the world and being interacted upon. She can be harmed in the standard ways. However, she can also be harmed via damage to the console she's bonded with. Monika will try to avoid letting people know any of this.

Aside from that fun fact, Monika currently has no scars or injuries of note. For now.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS:
Monika's content may contain references to unreality and fourth-wall breaking (in the general "not real" sense). She has in the past had some issues with suicidal ideation and self-harm. At her worst, she has suicide-baited, mocked psychological trauma and problems, gaslighted her friends, and done malicious reality warping and mental manipulation. Her canon point is from after she's realized how awful this is, and none of this is something Monika wants to talk about, but in a horror game, I cannot guarantee these things will never come up. Still, I will always warn for content like this, and if you want to avoid any of those or just avoid Monika completely, let me know.

In general, I should have no problem keeping her worst content warnings out of a typical thread. Unreality and fourth wall breaking are more likely to come up in her thought processes.

Again, if you want to not tag Monika at all, I'm perfectly fine with that! Hit up my HMD with your characters and journals--it's screened for your privacy.

OUT OF CHARACTER

BACKTAGGING: Yes, although if it gets very old or seems to have drifted into that loop of small talk, I may drop it. I'm always willing to summarize anything that happened if needed!
THREADHOPPING: Yes
FOURTHWALLING: Yes; Monika already knows
NOT INTERESTED IN:

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

VISUAL: Image. Monika keeps up a neat appearance. She looks her age (18), but she looks like a very responsible, mature 18. When she wears makeup, she goes for that "natural" look. Favors light colors in her outfits (especially white).
Alternate fashion examples: 1, 2, 3, 4
AURAL: Monika has a canon voice. She sounds like a pretty typical teenage girl. She tries to be eloquent, though when caught off-guard or put on the spot more "um"s and "like"s slip into her words.
OLFACTORY: Light, flowery soaps and shampoos. Coffee, sometimes.
DEMEANOUR: Calm, friendly, and poised. Responsible and tries to keep her cool, but may get a bit flustered when very unexpected things happen. If you look very closely, you may notice her demeanor is very intentional, and she's always trying to project the image she wants.
